Meh. Wars are hardly ever civil. Besides, it's more of a sectarian conflict. Under Saddam, everyone knew their place. With him out of the picture and our encouragement that everyone be given a voice there are going to be a whole bunch of shouting matches. The two biggest voices are the two halves of Islam. And they have been making their voices heard from every rooftop and alleyway. That's all fine and dandy but their shouting tournaments involve noise makers and shrapnel-confetti. And when our boys and girls try to tell them to turn that damn racket off, they get party favors thrown at 'em.

Where was I going with this? To the bar I think. I need a drink to keep this up.

Rancidoilman, I don't actually completely disagree with you... I think a drink IS needed, but more so I think that there is no way to stop this conflict. The best thing we can do at this point is to get out of the way. Now I don't believe in letting them just have at each other, but I think the longer we stay there, the more ill will they will build up against us and against each other...
